Northern Lights College Library (NLC):  http://library.nlc.bc.ca
includes: Human Development, Education and Care Department, and NLC online courses (direct or through BCcampus: http://www.bccampus.ca/Site3.aspx )

NLC is the primary source of library information for NLC students. Services are available online, in-person, by phone, and by email.

Visit the NLC Library web page from anywhere, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, to locate general library information, library services, library holdings (books, videos, periodicals), "how to" guides, searchable databases and article indexes. Library Subject Guides provide lists of recommended reference books, links to selected web sites, and related information.

NLC Library Resources - online access
In order to search the NLC Research Databases and Indexes from outside of the College, a user id is required. No password is required.

If you are unable to access the databases and Indexes, email Janet Beavers, Regional Library Service Coordinator at jbeavers@nlc.bc.ca . Please provide your name, program, student number and indicate that you are unable to access the databases.

A valid library card is required to order articles and borrow library material through the NLC Interlibrary/Intercampus Loan system.

You may also contact a library near you, such as your local public library, college or university library, to meet your information needs

Library Catalogue: WEBCAT: http://nlc-reglib.nlc.bc.ca/uhtbin/cgisirsi.exe/OW716JqaPh/0/0/49
Use the WebCat online catalogue to access library holdings (books, videos, periodicals) in all NLC campuses. If NLC does not have what you are looking for, search for library items outside of NLC, by clicking on “other BC Libraries” (public, college, university) on the web page.

Need Help?
Ask a Librarian for assistance in finding relevant books and journal articles and/or if you need help researching a course related topic. The librarian will also provide assistance in using the Library’s website, online catalogue, article databases, and tips on searching the Internet. Contact the librarian directly or use the ask a librarian section of the Library web pages:  http://nlc.bc.ca/library/form.asklibrarian.php
