Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT)
Students who are unsure of their reading, writing, and mathematical abilities may have these skills assessed. The tool utilized will depend upon the program of study in which the student wishes to enroll. Some programs make use of the Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT), while others may make use of tools suited to their specific area of study. These assessment tools have been designed to assist students in determining their academic readiness for a program. The assessment does not indicate a pass or fail but rather it helps determine a starting level. Where possible, students needing upgrading will be referred to the appropriate program.
Note: There is a cost to Students for some assessment tools.
Note: In the event a student needs to re-write the CAAT, normally a three-month interval is required.
