DAWSON CREEK – The Northern Environmental Action Team (NEAT) and Encana Corporation partnered with Northern Lights College to host “Tree-tember,” at the College’s Dawson Creek Campus on Sept. 15.

Encana purchased 50, four-foot Blue Spruce trees that were planted along 8th Street, adjacent to the main entrance at the Dawson Creek Campus. NLC staff members and students volunteered their time, along with members of the public and area middle school students.

The event also included a barbecue, scavenger hunt facilitated by local school students, and decorating of birdhouses made from old wood pallets.

Treetember-nlc: Angie Johnsen and Judy Seidl, staff members at NLC, were among the volunteers who helped out with the tree planting.
