National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

On , In College News, People & Culture

December 6 marks The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

On December 6, 1989, 14 young women were killed at Polytechnique Montreal — an act of violent misogyny that shook our nation. More than 30 years later, we continue to mourn the lives lost, and we continue to fight the hatred that led to this crime.

Today, we remember those who have experience gender-based violence and those we’ve lost to it. #EndGenderBasedViolence
