FORT ST. JOHN – Northern Lights College and the NLC Foundation are pleased to announce a special Donor Appreciation Event in honor of the significant financial donations made by companies, groups, and individuals in support of the College, its students and campus communities.
The wine and cheese gathering will be held in the atrium of the Fort St. John Campus on Friday, November 21st from 5-7 p.m. and will include a keynote address from Dave Conway, representative for BC Hydro, donor of the BC Hydro Trades and Skilled Training Awards, an address from Kristiana Bailey, NLC student and recipient of an Ike Barber Scholarship, and live musical entertainment by Twin Peaks.
“The generosity of NLC’s donors over the years has been so vital to our students’ successes, so my sincere thanks goes out to the donors who continue to support Northern Lights College and the NLC Foundation,” said Dr. Loren Lovegreen, vice president, Academic and Research.
“The success of the NLC Foundation depends on the generosity of our donors,” added Donna Kane, executive director of the Foundation. “We are pleased to have our donors recognized on our digital donor wall, which can be found on our homepage at nlc.bc.ca and on NLC’s YouTube channel.”
If you did not receive an invitation to the Donor Appreciation Event but are interested in attending, contact Donna Kane by email at dkane@nlc.bc.ca or call 1-866-463-6652, ext. 7613.
As well, the NLC Foundation is currently looking for community members interested in serving as a director of the NLC Foundation Board. If you are interested in this voluntary position, attending the Donor Appreciation Event is a great opportunity to learn more about the role of the NLC Foundation.
