DAWSON CREEK – The Visual Arts program at Northern Lights College will have two display areas during Art Walk 2012 in Dawson Creek.

Artwork from instructor Jennifer Bowes will be on display at the Old Fashioned Bakery on Alaska Avenue. Her display will feature sketches of England, Italy and Nepal from her travels in 2006.

As well, artwork produced by Visual Arts students will be featured at the Health Food Store, on 102 Avenue.

The Art Walk runs from June 15-Aug. 15. Two NLC graduates, Tabitha Logan and Mary Mottishaw, took the initiative in developing this project in conjunction with local visual artists, downtown businesses, Dawson Creek Tourism and South Peace Community Arts Council.

NLC’s Visual Arts program is offered at the Dawson Creek Campus. The next intake starts in September, and seats are available. For registration information, check the Visual Arts program page, or call the Student Services department at 250-782-5251.
