Students of NLC’s business management program fundraised to a $10,000 milestone this semester. In a networking project, students rallied local business support and achieved this in four semesters.
This fall, under the supervision of instructor Amna Khaliq, 23 students raised $4,200 through events including volleyball, a dance party, movie night, games event and sales of drawings.
Fund recipients were the Mizpah Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Dawson Creek’s Society for Community Living and the local SPCA.
In celebration, students received gifts and certificates from faculty for their community contribution.
