NLC students visit Jumonji University in Japan

Two of our students, Julia Monido and Phoebe Kainap, are currently at Jumonji University in Japan for a month-long study abroad experience.

Julia and Phoebe were selected through an application process and were chosen by Jumonji university based on the quality of their application.

On this trip they will be immersing themselves in the Japanese culture and language. Part of their experience will include 90 minutes of preparing Japanese cuisine per week and 60 minutes of Japanese language classes daily. They are due to return in the middle of July.

Our partnership with Jumonji University has spanned over 30 years, and is one of our longest and most successful international programs.

We are also sending another eight students and a faculty member to Kansai Gaidai University in Japan on July 1, 2024 for a 15 day trip.

Students who are interested in a study abroad experience should keep an eye on their email for upcoming opportunities.
