Recognizing outstanding trades’ students

DAWSON CREEK – School District 59 students who have completed trades and apprenticeship training at Northern Lights College were recognized recently at the annual sponsor recognition and student awards reception.

The evening was held in the Heavy Duty Technician facility at NLC’s South Peace Campus. The event included recognition of Peace Region students who competed in Skills Canada competitions, and guest speakers including Jeff Beale, chair of Northern Opportunities Learning Council, and Roger Hargreaves of the Industry Training Authority.

A number of students were recognized as recipients of a Spectra Bursary or a Secondary School Apprenticeship Scholarship.
