Nominations are open for the student representation on the Education Council (four positions) and the College Board of Governors (two positions).
Education Council is responsible for all education related matters for NLC’s programs. Student members receive an honorarium for the month in which they attend an Education Council meeting, to a maximum of 10 meetings per year. The Board of Governors is the policy-making body for the College Student members of the Board receive an honorarium and are reimbursed for their related expenses.
To be eligible for nomination, a student must be:
- a full or part-time student at NLC;
- enrolled in a regular program taking a minimum of two courses;
- enrolled for the full instructional year; and
- paying the NLC Students’ Association fee.
Information and nomination forms are available from Student Services at all campuses. Nominations will be accepted until Tuesday, Sept. 20. Elections will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 4. All positions are for one-year terms.
