DAWSON CREEK – Northern Lights College is set to welcome back students for the 2012-13 school year on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
The first day will be a busy one for students. In addition to starting new programs or, in some cases, returning to complete programs already underway, students will participate in Colllege and program-specific orientation sessions and other special events to help familiarize themselves with the College.
General College Orientation will be held on the Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, Fort Nelson and Fort St. John campuses, starting at 9 am on Tuesday, Sept. 4. In Dawson Creek, Orientation will be held in the gym, while in Fort St. John, Orientation will be held in the Atrium.
Academic and Vocational students are asked to report directly to Orientation. Students in Trades and Apprenticeship programs all start at their scheduled time on Sept. 4, and will be brought to Orientation by their instructors.
After the College-wide Orientation, there will be some program-specific Orientation sessions, as follows:
Applied Business Technology (ABT): 1-2:30 pm. Dawson Creek, Campus Centre Room 3304; Fort St. John, Room 133; Chetwynd Room 123/125; Fort Nelson Room 134.
Business Management: 11:45 am–12:45 pm. Fort St. John, Room 119/120.
Career and College Preparation (CCP): 11:45 am–12 noon. Dawson Creek, Health Sciences Building Room 124/125; Fort St. John, Room 152/153; Chetwynd, Room 114/115; Fort Nelson, Room 118.
Health Care Assistant (HCA): 1-3:45 pm. Dawson Creek, Health Sciences Building Room 116 (includes a library orientation)
Practical Nursing (PN): 1-2:30 pm. Dawson Creek, Health Sciences Building Room 116
Social Work (SSWD): 11:45 am–12:45 pm. Fort St. John, Room 131; Dawson Creek, Campus Centre Room 3318; Chetwynd, Room 100; Tumbler Ridge, Room 101
