Kyle Moran (Dawson Creek) and Joe Courtoreille (Chetwynd) recently received their awards, valued at $1,500 each. The awards were presented by Financial Aid officers Billie-Jo Crandall and Kathy Hecker.
Four students are eligible to receive the PSAC award annually, two each in programs that start in September and February. Full-time students in Heavy Duty/Commercial Transport Technician Foundation, Millwright Foundation, or Welding Level C are eligible to apply.
These awards are funded by the Petroleum Services Association of Canada’s Education Fund. Recipients must demonstrate success in their program areas, as well as submit an application that includes the following information: a career plan; their interest in working in the service, supply and manufacturing sector of the petroleum industry; and any prior knowledge of the petroleum industry.
The deadline for applications from students entering applicable programs in September is June 30. To apply for the PSAC Award, contact a financial aid officer at any NLC campus.
