It’s a great feeling when your hard work is recognized by the community.
Northern Lights College (NLC) strives to be a welcoming and inclusive workplace and was recently acknowledged for doing just that.
WorkBC recognizes employers and organizations in the community that are leaders in being accessible and inclusive places to work. They presented NLC with a certificate on September 22.
“This is the culmination of a lot of really intentional work by lots of levels of this organization because it’s one thing to recruit a diverse workforce, it’s a whole other thing to retain a diverse workforce,” said Karen Mason-Bennett, Fort St. John Campus Administrator for NLC. “Everybody has put their best foot forward, we’ve all learned a lot, and we’re looking forward to seeing this work continue to grow.”
As outlined in the strategic plan, NLC is working towards building an inclusive, safe, respectful, and welcoming community.
