BIOL111 Anatomy and Physiology I

(4.0 credits)

This course provides the first half of a comprehensive survey of the structures and functions of the human organ systems. Topics include cytology and histology, and the integumentary, musculoskeletal, nervous, and endocrine systems. A lab component is included. Biology 111 is appropriate for students who intend to enter the health professions.

Prerequisites: "B" or higher in Biology 12, Anatomy and Physiology 12, BIOL 050, or BIOL 101 within five years of program start date. - "B" or higher in Chemistry 11 or CHEM 040 within five years of program start date. (Chemistry 12 is strongly recommended.)
