Students will be placed in a 60-hour unpaid practicum. During this time, students will be exposed to operating terminology and become involved with the daily routine and duties performed by an Electrician. Practicum placements will be arranged only upon recommendation of the instructor, and efforts will be made to provide placements in line with student preferences. Sponsors will be asked to provide a variety of tasks in line with the students learning objectives. If a practicum placement cannot be offered, students will complete their practicum in the shop under the supervision of their instructor. Upon completion of their practicum, learners are required to provide a written report to their instructor detailing their experience.
Restrictions: Must be in the Electrician Foundation Trades Training Program (ELFT1).
