Students will be placed in an 60 hour unpaid practicum. They will be exposed to operating terminology and become involved with the daily routine and duties performed by Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians, Truck and Transport Mechanics, Diesel Engine Mechanics, or Transport Trailer Technicians.  Practicum placements will be arranged upon recommendation of the instructor and efforts will be made to provide placements based on a student’s area of preference. Employers will be requested to provide a variety of tasks in line with the student’s learning objectives.

Restrictions: Must be in the Heavy Mechanical Trades Foundation Program (HMTF1).
