This course offers supervised practical experience and involvement with children in a classroom setting. Emphasis is on beginning competencies that are fundamental to quality education, guidance, and development of children. Observing development, guiding and caring skills, and child-centred instruction skills will be addressed. Collaboration skills for working within the classroom will also be explored.
Restrictions: Must be in the Education Assistant Program (EDAS1, EDAS2, or EDAS...X60)
Other Prerequisites: Criminal Record Check Schedule B works with "children" or works with "children and vulnerable adults." Admission to Education Assistant Program.
