Since the language of Shakespeare’s plays conjures such vivid images of lush forests, sprawling battlegrounds, and devastating shipwrecks, it’s not surprising that generations of artists have been inspired to paint, draw, or sculpt the playwright’s most famous scenes and most beloved characters. From Restoration portraits to twenty-first century comic books, come join Emily Leach as she explores the history of Shakespeare’s plays (and the Bard himself!) being captured on canvas.
